Clifford S. Mintz, PhD is a seasoned bioscience professional with over 18 years of experience in drug discovery/development, biomanufacturing, commercialization and regulatory compliance. Dr Mintz is also a professional medical/healthcare writer and a regular contributor to life sciences business publications.
Dr. Mintz began his career as a tenure-track professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. After leaving academia in 1994, Dr. Mintz was a management consultant to a number of privately and publicly held biopharmaceutical companies. Dr Mintz is a co-founder of Prolong Pharmaceuticals, a protein-based drug delivery company and most recently Artemes Technologies, a medical technologies development firm.
At present, he is a science/business advisor to several start-up biotechnology companies and an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Cliff received a B.S. in microbiology/animal science from Cornell University, a Ph.D. in Bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and performed his post-doctoral studies at Oregon Health Sciences University and the College of Physicians & Surgeons, Columbia University.
